Many times, I come across people searching on different search engines or posting a question like:
– Can I install multiple versions of Visual Studio all together?
– Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008, side by side.
– Running Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 beta together?
– Is it possible to have Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008 Beta version on same machine?
The simple answer to all of the above questions is YES. We can always have multiple versions of Visual Studio on a single machine. But as I have posted in my earlier post, as Visual Studio 2008 provides Multi Targeting Support, you actually dont need Visual studio 2005 anymore and can develop an application targetting .Net framework 2.0 in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 itself.
